Friends of Elmsett School

From  September 2023 we are now known as Friends of Elmsett School (FOES).  We have a combination of teachers, parents and members of our community working together for the benefit of school.  

Message from Chair PTA Chair (2022-2023)

I would like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to all of the PTA, the hard work and dedication that you put in behind the scenes is very much appreciated. 

 I would also like to thank all of the parents, grandparents, teachers, carers and friends of Elmsett School. Without you all, none of what we do would be possible.  

 Last year we donated £1700 to the school for extra resources, we held our Annual Summer Football Tournament, Bingo Nights, a Quiz Night, Craft Fayres and Secret rooms to name a few. 

 We also funded Jubilee celebrations (Magic Show) for the children, the bus for the Panto, the year 6 leavers trip and a new Elmsett Logo sports kit for the school.   

 This Academic year we are looking to provide more resources for the school and more fun events for the children and families to enjoy. We want to improve the outdoor areas, support Forest School and continue to support the school by updating resources and funding materials where we can. 

 If you would be interested in joining the PTA, please do get in touch. Any help, however big or small is hugely appreciated and really does make a difference. We are always looking for new ideas.

We run as a charity and all proceeds go directly to purchase additional equipment for the school.  We also provide support for enriching activities and trips.

All members including teachers give their time freely to organise, set up and run various events throughout the school year.

Events we organise are Football tournament & Summer Fete, Quiz nights,  Christmas Fayre,  and School parties.

All parents are welcome to attend FOES meetings and we are always happy to receive new members and idea’s for fundraising.

I just wanted to say a huge thank you to The Rose and Crown Elmsett for donating £40 to the PTA from the ticket sales of the Halloween Disco held last month. Such a kind gesture and very much appreciated.

Shaun and Helen really the support the school wherever they can and are kindly running monthly Bingo nights where all money raised goes to the PTA. From October and November Bingo alone we have raised £290! This is fantastic and makes such a difference to our School.

New Trays

Huge thanks to the PTA who kindly bought new trays for our outside area after our old one split, even our resourcefulness of putting buckets underneath failed after the split grew too big with gushing waterfalls. Our thanks go to Mr Burdiss, who kindly spend his free time putting all the pieces together after we failed. The children have really enjoyed exploring what happens to dry sand when it becomes wet.
