KS1 Spring Term 2022

This term we have made Little Red Riding Hood story book boxes. We had to paint and decorate the box and then paint each of the four characters. There was a lot of painting, including some quite detailed parts so the children had to paint carefully and accurately.  I hope they have lots of fun retelling the story to their friends and family.

Spring Term 2022

Key Stage 2 designed and made memory boxes in our after-school craft club. They brought in a special picture or pictures from home and used a range of resources such as buttons, card, felt and stickers. They also had access to two Sizzix craft machines which meant they could cut out additional elements such as the felts cats and dogs. They all worked really hard and hopefully this will help to keep those treasured memories forever.

Year 6 took part in a lunchtime craft club this term. They covered a wreath with wool in a pattern of their choice and then chose something to hang inside their wreath. The items ranged from a teddy bear, dog and a car to their own name. They had to sew these items and then stuff them. Due to COVID, craft club was unable to have any helpers this term so the children had to work independently for a large proportion of the time. Well done.

Autumn Term 2019

Year 6 designed and sewed their own place mat in craft club this term. They were very detailed and a lot of hard work went into the finished pieces - well done.

Summer 2019 - Year 3/4

Year 3/4 made a ping pong target game

Spring 2019 - Year 5/6

This term year 5 and 6 also tried their hand at painting the letters in their name. They had to look much more closely at the detail on the individual letters. With Easter in mind they then made a drawstring bunny bag which used a lot of different sewing techniques. The bags were filled with mini chocolate eggs as a treat for all their hard work.

Spring 2019 - Year 2

We have been very busy in craft club this term. We painted our own plaster of Paris names. Then we created a piece of art using masking tape to create a pattern. Finally we made giant peg animals - a pig, a caterpillar and a crocodile / dinosaur / frog!!

Year 5/6 - Autumn Term 2018

This term in craft club we painted and put together wooden houses. It was very fiddly and there were a lot of instructions to follow to put them together but the finished result was brilliant - well done craft clubbers.

Year 5/6 - Summer Term 2018

These are the 5/6 craft club Summer term designs. The children had to papercut the design which  needed a lot of skill in terms of patience, accuracy and manual dexterity. Their perseverance and determination was remarkable- a fantastic end to the year.

Year 2/3/4 - Summer Term 2018

This is the work from the year 2,3 & 4 craft club.

They had to design  and paint a ceramic Terramundi pot and then cover a storage crate using napkins and Modpodge.

Year 5/6 - Spring Term 2018

They had to sew an animal felt coaster with a 3D head of their choice.  They then had to decorate a porcelain mug to go with it.

Year 2 / 3 and 4 - Spring Term 2018

This is Year 2 / 3 and 4 and they had to design and make their own linear mobile. There was a lot of sewing involved and they all did brilliantly.

Spring 2020

This term Years 2 and 3 have been designing and making their own name banners or bunting. They had to include their name but could add additional items to their banners of their own choice. We did have a wide range of additions from dogs and cats to flowers, footballs and stars and even a llama!! They could choose their own colour scheme also. The finished items were brilliant and the children should be very proud - there was a lot of sewing. I hope they have lots of fun choosing somewhere to hang them. The additions were cut out using dies and the Cricut Big Shot.

Summer 2019 - Year 5/6

Year 5/6 made nail art hearts.

Summer 2019 - Year 2

Glove puppets!

Spring 2019 - Year 3/4

We painted our names, made masking tape painted art work, did some mindfulness colouring and made giant lolly stick pencil pots this half term.

Year 5/6 Craft Club - Autumn 2017

In the run up to Christmas, the children designed and produced a wreath.

Year 3/4 Craft Club - Autumn 2017

The remit this term was to design and make a 3D, deep box frame Christmas themed picture. They all designed the picture first on paper then had to use the varied resources to reproduce it. We were all very impressed!

Year 5/6 craft club designed cushion covers, produced all the pieces and sew them on all on independently.

Looking good I think you will agree!
