ELSA support for our pupils
We are pleased to be able offer our pupils session with our Emotional Literacy Support Assistant (ELSA), Mrs van Aswegen.
ELSA's are specialised Teaching Assistants who have received training from educational psychologists to support the emotional development of children. ELSAs help children learn to understand their emotions and respect the feelings of those around them. ELSAs run sessions which provide children with the opportunity to explore their emotions, learn new skills and develop coping strategies.
