Was your child born between 1st September 2020 and 31st August 2021?
If so, they will be starting school in September 2025
Parents with children born between 1st September 2020 and 31st August 2021 must apply for a reception place at a primary or infant school by 15 January 2025. Children normally attend school full-time in reception year group the September following their fourth birthday. All primary schools must offer children a full-time place at the start of the Autumn term in September. However, legally they do not have to start full-time education until the term after their fifth birthday. Whatever you decide, it is important that you apply for an infant or primary place by the closing date.
