Annie Hookway - Chair of Governors
I moved to Suffolk in 1984 returning to East Anglian roots. I have been working in education since 1979 with many happy years in South Suffolk as a primary school teacher and leader. I am passionate about providing new and exiting opportunities for children, drawing upon the diversity that Suffolk offers, whether through technology, the arts or sport.
I am now retired but keen to continue to support teachers and children at Elmsett Primary School.
My interests are diverse from sailing to painting and even knitting. My husband and I enjoy time with family, our sons and grandchildren have provided opportunities for travel to see them. We also have a lively spaniel Tilly
I have no pecuniary interests and am not related to any staff member

I have experience in a range of areas in various schools and trusts of different backgrounds from curriculum development, student leadership, pastoral leadership roles and safeguarding.
As a parent Governor I wish to support the school, its staff and play my part in actively supporting the community. Family time is precious and I also enjoy creative past times, reading, running and football
I have no pecuniary interests and am not related to anyone at the school.
Andrew Rowe - Co-opted Governor / Governor for Safeguarding
I became a governor at Elmsett in November 2014.
I have a degree in Education from Manchester University and work brought me to Suffolk 30 years ago. In all that time, I’ve worked for Suffolk County Council, mostly in the Ipswich area.
I want to use all the knowledge and experience of the education sector I have gained in my professional life to help our school continue to improve.
I enjoy walking and cycling in the Suffolk countryside.
I have no pecuniary interests and am not related to any staff member.

Reverend Geoffrey Clement - Foundation Governor
I have been a vicar in Suffolk since 2001, having returned to Suffolk after 5 years in Oxfordshire. I am originally from Streatham S. London. When I left school, I worked in construction working on restoration projects in London, principally at Westminster Abbey but on other government projects too. I then spent 11 years living in Uruguay, S. America where I studied at seminary and was ordained priest in Montevideo.
When I can, I enjoy getting out on my bike – currently a Moto Guzzi V9 (850cc). I’ve had motorbikes since I was 19 and a few years back took my Advanced test with the Institute of Advanced Motorists.
I have no pecuniary interests and my wife Angela currently works at the school as a Teaching Assistant in Robins Class.
